Bloom & Gonsai - Return to Practice Statement
Our intention is for our staff members to return to work on Monday 1st June unless there is an extension to the current lockdown recommended by the government or professional bodies. The team will spend the week reviewing and implementing protocols, preparing the practice for reopening and practising updated procedures before patients return to the practice.
It is envisaged that the practice will reopen to patient treatments commencing Monday 8th June, current government and professional advice permitting, focussing on those of you that may have suffered with dental problems during the period of the lockdown as a priority before resuming normal dental and hygiene services.
Our reopening policy (see link below) outlines what we have done and what is to be expected regarding the practice steps, procedures and protocols for your safety and that of our staff, which remains central to our return. It has been created based on multiple updated sources from within the dental and medical professions, the government and leading experts around the world on the pandemic. It outlines modifications to our normal procedures that we intend to employ once dental practices can be reopened after the COVID-19 pandemic peak of infection has subsided.
It is not known at this time whether these procedures are temporary or whether they will become a permanent feature of the way dental practices must be run to ensure patient and staff safety in the future. The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic is still being evaluated and studied and remains a concern to us all. The policies and recommendations are likely to change in line with new scientific evidence over time and we will regularly update this page and policy to keep you informed of any changes that may affect the way we can deliver ongoing care.
We would like to thank all of our patients for their patience and forbearance during this long period of practice closure and for their understanding and co-operation whilst we implement new measures at the practice. We understand and share your wish to help you as swiftly as possible but, given the conditions imposed on practice and the unprecedented demand for appointments, please understand if as we start with the return you need to wait slightly longer than you are used to get an appointment slot. Our objective is to welcome you back, have you seen as soon as is possible and return to the levels of excellence you have come to expect and deserve as patients at our practice.
